Event Details
From the vaults of film history comes a once-in-a-lifetime chance to see the never-before-seen final film directed by Orson Welles shot between 1970 and 1976. Bay area luminary Tony Fazule brings you the first viewing of “The Orson Welles Project” aka “The Other Other Side of the Wind.” Gifted to him by a film editor who brought the film from NYC with the promise to show this cut — the original edit blessed by Orson Welles himself. Come and join us for this momentous event! The film will make another debut in a different edited form, so this is your only chance to see the original cut as it was intended by legendary director Orson Welles. Starring John Huston, Bob Random, Peter Bogdanovich, Susan Strasberg and Oja Kodar, the film is a satire of avant-garde filmmakers of the New Hollywood of the 1970s. Shot in an unconventional mockumentary style in both color and black-and-white, it incorporates a film-within-a-film.
